Jul 26, 2022 (newstodate): Successfully completing its restructuring after exiting Chapter 11 protection in June 2022, the world's largest regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital is now back again with a stream of positive news.
In July 2022 alone, the company has placed no less than 21 aircraft with airline customers, including seven Embraer E175/E190 with LOT, four ATR 72-600 with Olympic Airways, three E195 with Airlink, one ATR 72-600 with Loganair, and six ATR 72-600 with Air Cairo.
In addition, NAC has placed six CF34-10E engines with the German company MTU NLS, as well as contracting Akodis for five ATR 72-600 P2F conversion kits with deliveries starting in Q1/2023.
As part of the reconstruction, NAC has slimmed its airline fleet to 390 owned and on-order aircraft, from 480 aircraft plus commitments for another 71 aircraft, totaling 561 units by the end of 2021.
