Jun 27, 2022 (newstodate): The US aircraft leasing company Azorra is to take another bite of Nordic Aviation Capital's fleet.
Early in June, Azorra announced an agreement with NAC to acquire 37 aircraft formerly owned by Nordic Aviation Capital, including 29 Embraer E-Jets and eight ATR and Q400 turboprop aircraft leased to 13 different airlines worldwide, and financed by a lender group led by BNP Paribas.
Now, Azorra has announced a new deal to acquire a further 11 Embraer E-Jet aircraft currently leased to four airlines, bringing the total to 48 aircraft.
By the end of 2021 and prior to the Chapter 11 process, NAC owned and managed a fleet of 480 aircraft with commitments for another 71 aircraft, taking the fleet to 561.
