Jun 27, 2022 (newstodate): While almost all western airlines comply with the ban on flights to Russia due to its war on Ukraine, some 30 airlines still maintain scheduled flights to the country.
The undisputed leader among 30 airlines continuing flights to Russia are the Turkish carriers Turkish Airlines and Pegasus.
In a table produced by FL360aero, Turkish Airlines operated no less than 1,395 flights to Russia so far in June 2022, with Pegasus adding another 146 flights, with plans for increasing the volume even further in summer 2022.
Turkish Airlines thus holds the #1 position, with Uzbekistan Airlines on #2 with 420 flights, and Belavia #3 with 392 flights.
Emirates is also on the list as #8 with 84 flights, while another UAE carrier flydubai remains unaffected by the western sanctions with 182 flights, earning a position as #4 on the prominent list.
In Europe, only Air Serbia defies the sanctions with 48 flights, landing as #14.
