Jun 17, 2022 (newstodate): The Swedish regional and charter carrier BRA, Braathens Regional Airlines, has landed an important contract with tour operator Ving for charter flights between Scandinavia and Mediterranean leisure destinations.
Under a three-year contract comprising the summer seasons of 2023-25, BRA will provide capacity for a flight program starting on April 27, 2023, from 26 airports in Sweden, Norway and Denmark to destinations in Greece, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, the Canary Islands and Turkey.
BRA will need to invest in adding jet aircraft capacity, probably Airbus A320 Family aircraft, to fulfill the new contract, operating only 13 ATR 72-600 today after deciding, in 2019, to phase out its fleet of 10 AVRO RJ100 and RJ85 jet aircraft.
