Jun 23, 2022 (newstodate): In the face of western sanctions barring Russia to import products for aircraft maintenance, the country is now developing own capabilities.
Part of the Aeroflot Group, the aircraft maintenance provider A-Technics has been certified by the Russian aviation authorities to develop documentation for the manufacture of components for any type of aircraft, both Russian and Western.
The company has been audited by the Federal Air Transport Agency to obtain the FAP-21, section J certificate, and as part of the approval it will now develop documentation for the production and modification of components for pantry and kitchen equipment, passenger compartment, cockpit, emergency equipment, insulation, and cladding.
To implement this project, A-Technics has prepared the material base and formed two new divisions - the design department and the aviation equipment certification department.
A-Technics provides operational and scheduled maintenance of Boeing 737, Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Airbus A350, Airbus A330, Airbus A320 and Superjet 100 aircraft.
