Jun 28, 2022 (newstodate): The first half of 2022 has indeed been a challenge - but we have managed, says Roy Egil Skredderberget, OSCC CEO.
-Seafood export volumes handled by OSCC have dropped by some 20-25 percent during January-June 2022, but we have still seen a rather stable service by our key airline handling customers including Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airlines, CAL Cargo Airlines, and Cargolux. And while we have obviously lost AirBridgeCargo, we have landed a new customer, the Norwegian long-haul carrier Norse that brings new capacity from June 14 to the transatlantic market.
-Already in 2021, we shifted to part-time leasing of part of our workforce to obtain more flexibility in adapting to changing market conditions. This has served us well, enabling us to keep our key in-house workforce and competence intact despite the turbulence in 2022, says Mr Skredderberget.
OSCC, Oslo Seafood & Cargo Centre AS, is a key provider of seafood terminal handling at Oslo Airport, normally handling some 40 off/on-line airlines at Oslo Airport, including direct cargo handling contracts with about 20 airlines.
