Jun 21, 2022 (newstodate): Already airBaltic's smallest Baltic base in Summer 2022, Lithuania's Vilnius Airport will see the carrier reducing activities.
According to media, airBaltic will pull out one Airbus A220-300 from the base with effect from September 1, 2022, and retreat from routes from Vilnius to Hamburg and Oslo as well as London Gatwick and Dublin.
airBaltic opened its base at Vilnius in November 2014, benefiting from the final collapse of Lithuania's latest attempt to establish a national carrier, Air Lituanica that folded its wings on May 22, 2015.
