Jun 14, 2022 (newstodate): So far a staunch Airbus aircraft operator, SmartLynx Malta has taken in its first Boeing 737 aircraft.
The carrier is now operating one Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft delivered on May 31, 2022, and currently based at Tallinn Airport serving SmartLynx Airlines' companies in Latvia and Estonia.
The carrier expects to add two more Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft later in 2022.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Latvia’s oldest operating carrier SmartLynx Airlines plans to have about 60 aircraft in the fleet in summer '22, ranking as the largest air fleet operator in the Baltic states.
