Jun 16, 2022 (newstodate): While still strong in air cargo, even Norway's Oslo Airport is seeing flown cargo volumes down in 2022.
In May 2022, the airport handled a total of 9,547 tonnes of cargo which was down 14 percent, y-o-y.
The bulk of the cargo was international cargo - primarily consisting of seafood exports - with 8,978 tonnes and also down 14 percent on last year.
In January-May, total flown cargo volumes handled at Oslo Airport decreased by 11 percent, y-o-y, to 50,340 tonnes.
In pre-Covid 2019, the airport handled a total of 180,628 tonnes of cargo - but the comparison is marred by a change in statistical methods.
