Jun 28, 2022 (newstodate): The Estonian cargo airline AVEM AERO is seeing a strong response in the market for its AN-25 freighter aircraft - but has been working under challenging conditions..
The aircraft is leased from the Ukrainian company Constanta, joining AVEM AERO's fleet of two SAAB 340 cargo aircraft offering time-critical services in markets including hi-risk countries.
However, the Ukrainian, third-country registration of the AN-26 aircraft has required Avem Aero to apply for overflight rights, landing permissions, non-objections and authorizations for each flight - with at least three or four applications, each requiring from two to four days, for each operation that is most often a time-critical mission.
Now, Avem Aero reports a break-through, leading to permits being issued within only one day thanks to the company's agent network in various countries, accreditation in Spain, Italy, Germany, and hopes for imminent authorization by the UK authorities as well.
Avem Aero has now also received selected Norwegian airports authorizations, as country permits are not sufficient.
