Jun 02, 2022 (newstodate): Air cargo volumes continued to grow at Denmark's Billund Airport in May 2022.
   A total of 6,551 tonnes of cargo was handled at Billund, an increase by 9.1 percent, y-o-y.
   Totals included 5,033 tonnes of exports, rising 10.3 percent, and 1,518 tonnes of import, also up by 5.5 percent, y-o-y.
   During the first five months of this year, the airport is thus 11.9 percent up on total volumes, 33,981 tonnes, including 25,338 tonnes of exports, up 11.8 percent, and 8,553 tonnes of imports, up 12.1 percent.
   In pre-Covid May 2019, a total of 6,198 tonnes of cargo was handled at Billund Airport - a decline by 1.6 percent, y-o-y.
   Import volumes were down by 4.9 percent to 2,022 tonnes, while exports increased modestly by 0.1 percent to 4,176 tonnes.
