Jun 13, 2022 (newstodate): In January 2017, a new company was registered in Denmark: Arctic Airways ApS, based at Aalborg, in northern Denmark.
    The new airline company was established by Gert Brask who has earlier been involved in projects to establish new, price-competitive domestic flight offerings in Greenland and between Greenland and Denmark, Canada, last under the brand name of Sky Greenland.
   Is now seems that ambitions have once again been adjusted; in a posting on LinkedIn, Mr Brask compliments his team for working on the project to launch Arctic Airways with an own Danish AOC and a new route network.
   The posting on LinkedIn shows an ATR aircraft with Danish registration, indicating that ambitions may now rather be to set up a domestic route network to provide traffic on the coming new airports in Greenland by 2023-24.
