Jun 01, 2022 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier has completed another sale-leaseback transaction of Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
This time, four aircraft have been comprised by a transaction with the US company Altavair acting as servicer on the assets, while the acquisition was funded by the US investment company KKR.
In January 2020, airBaltic signed a sale-leaseback contract with Chorus Aviation Capital for five Airbus A220-300 aircraft, and other aircraft have been comprised by similar arrangement with Aviation Capital Group, while the UK company Skytech-AIC has been partnering with airBaltic since 2018 for sale-leaseback of 22 Airbus A220-300 aircraft in several arrangements.
In the fleet of airBaltic are now 36 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with four more to be added in 2022.
