Jun 22, 2022 (newstodate): Air Serbia has again stepped up its services from Belgrade to the Scandinavian capital airports in summer 2022.
According to the latest revision, Air Serbia will go to up to five weekly rotations in July '22 on each of its Scandinavian routes to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, against earlier four in the current program.
In May 2021, Aviator Airport Alliance secured a renewal of the handling contract with Air Serbia in Scandinavia.
For the third consecutive time since the first contract signed in 2015, Aviator is thus providing Air Serbia with a full package of handling services from check-in, baggage handling to pushback of aircraft at Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
Serving Copenhagen and Stockholm for years with scheduled flights from Belgrade, Air Serbia added the route to Oslo from Belgrade from June 2020.
Air Serbia also launched flights from Serbia to Finland in June 2019 with two weekly rotations, and the route was to be operated year-round if warranted by a satisfactory market response.
This turned out not to be the case, however, as the coronavirus put an end to the flights to Helsinki.
Instead, Air Serbia now connects Serbia and Finland through its code share partners Finnair and airBaltic.
