Jun 13, 2022 (newstodate): China remains an important market for Norway's salmon exports - but 2022 is not going to be a record year..
   By the end of week 22, 2022, ending on June 5, Norway has seen exports of fresh salmon to China down by 11.8 percent, y-o-y,  to 10,537 tonnes.
   The trend is, however, a downward trajectory, with loads in week 22 down by 21 percent, y-o-y, to 447 tonnes.
   Reasons are obviously an unhealthy mix of the sustained fight in China against Covid-19, the Russian war on Ukraine closing down overflight options over Russia and other countries as well as the air corridors over Siberia, and the ensuing shortfall of cargo capacity by airlines, notably Finnair, that has otherwise been crucial to exporters.
