May 25, 2022 (newstodate): Air cargo is attracting increasing attention also among airlines so far focussing solely on passenger operations.
In the air since June 2010, the Slovak carrier and ACMI provider AirExplore is now joining the cargo market with its first 737-800BCF, currently under conversion from passenger version after earlier serving Ryanair.
The IOSA-certified airline's first freighter has already been contracted to UAE-based RDS Cargo Group, with delivery by H2/2022.
In the fleet of AirExplore are now six Boeing 737-800 aircraft operating charter and ACMI flights in the passenger market.
Based at Bratislava, Air Explore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, launching flights with its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-300.
