May 13, 2022 (newstodate): The "new" Norwegian is seeing increasing demand for adding more aircraft to the fleet as the market recovers during the summer.
   Last year, the airline operated 50 aircraft and estimated a need for growing the fleet to 70 aircraft in summer 2022, and to 85 in 2023.
   Instead, the growing market demand is calling for up to 100 aircraft as soon as possible.
   So far, Norwegian has placed orders for the lease of 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with delivery by spring 2023, and efforts are ongoing to order another batch of five similar aircraft shortly.
   At its height, the "old" Norwegian operated a fleet comprising 160 Boeing 737 and Boeing 787 aircraft.
