May 23, 2022 (newstodate): The new Norwegian long-haul carrier Norse Atlantic Airways has its primary focus on passengers - but air cargo is to be an important part of the business.
Volumes of Norwegian seafood destined for the North American market will secure a sound base for filling the cargo compartments of the carrier's fleet of up to 15 Boeing 787 aircraft on routes from Oslo to New York from June 14, 2022, with two weekly rotations, going up to three from the second week.
Flights from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale will follow from June 18, with two weekly rotations; flights to Orlando will start from July 5, 2022, with three rotations - and finally flights to Los Angeles will follow from August 9, with three weekly rotations.
Norse Atlantic Airways has picked Kales as its GSSA to provide sales, administrative and operational activities as well as Kales' own booking system, with effect from May 1, 2022.
The carrier has also signed Wexco, part of the Kales Airline Services Group, as its UK cargo GSSA, with Transatlantic flights soon to launch from London Gatwick.
