May 05, 2022 (newstodate): Air Serbia is building up a fleet of turboprop aircraft to serve regional routes.
The first delivery to take place soon is one ATR 72-600 aircraft last serving with the now-defunct carrier Amelia Aviation and owned by the regional aircraft lessor NAC.
Currently being maintained and readied for delivery at Airbus' facilities in Toulouse, the aircraft will be the first of six similar aircraft, with delivery schedules yet unpublished.
All six aircraft are comprised by an aircraft lease contract inked in January 2022 with Nordic Aviation Capital.
Already in the aging turboprop-fleet of Air Serbia are three ATR 72-200 and two ATR 72-500 aircraft.
