May 05, 2022 (newstodate): Instead of joining any airline alliance, the Latvian carrier airBaltic is focussing on establishing code-share agreements with selected partners.
Today, the carrier has established code-share agreements with 25 airline partners - but one market is still missing: the USA.
But this will probably soon be remedied: talks are being conducted with Delta Air Lines and a tentative agreement is currently awaiting the approval by DOT before taking effect.
airBaltic has so far inked agreements with 27 airlines - the most recent one in January 2022 with the Italian airline ITA Airways.
