May 11, 2022 (newstodate): The Nordic express delivery company Jetpak had added new capabilities to its service at Copenhagen Airport.
Earlier this month, Jetpak took delivery of a 20” reefer at the express handling facility at Copenhagen Airport, allowing the company to store and transit premium seafood products for a large Norwegian customer, with destinations spread around Europe.
-Customers have increasingly requested us to provide the use of Copenhagen Airport as a hub linking to onward perishables' traffic to European destinations, says Lars Stockel, Jetpak Branch Manager Airfreight.
-The demand is especially strong for handling of fresh seafood and shellfish coming in directly from the sea for onward delivery to restaurants and other customers around Europe.
-Introducing this new cooling facility at Copenhagen Airport from May 10, 2022, Jetpak has established a new gateway for Nordic seafood shipments to Europe, supported by safe and reliant en-route storage at Copenhagen Airport to boost shelf life and keep sensitive live shellfish in good shape along the way, says Mr Stockel.
The new, enhanced service by Jetpak is part of the express airfreight products offered to airline customers including SAS, Norwegian, LOT and Atlantic Airways.
Jetpak re-introduced own cargo handling at Copenhagen Airport from April 1, 2017, with an own terminal for import and export shipments and airside transportation for pickup and delivery of Jetpak shipments by the aircraft.
