May 09, 2022 (newstodate): The Latvian ACMI and charter operator SmartLynx Airlines is determined to fulfil its ambition to become the world's leading A321 converted freighter operator.
   SmartLynx Airlines has now signed up with Dutch aircraft lessor APOC Aviation to acquire four ex-Finnair Airbus A321 aircraft for conversion and entry into service early in 2023.
   By the end of 2022, SmartLynx will have eight Airbus A321 converted freighters in the fleet, and with these latest acquisitions the airline’s A321F fleet will grow to 12 aircraft of the type by mid-2023.
