May 10, 2022 (newstodate): The third Airbus A220-300 aircraft to be delivered to the Latvian carrier airBaltic in 2022 is now in the air.
The aircraft performed its first flight on May 8, 2022, after leaving the Final Assembly Line and is thus now in its test flight program pending delivery to the airline at Riga Airport
This will bring the carrier's single-type fleet to 35 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, and airBaltic plans to add another five aircraft before the end of this year.
The aircraft deliveries are part of the 50 Airbus A220-300 which airBaltic has ordered; in addition, airBaltic holds 30 options and purchase rights for the same aircraft type.
