May 05, 2022 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is now online with its second destination in Georgia.
   Starting from May 8, 2022, the carrier is offering initially one, later two weekly rotations between Riga and Batumi, near Georgia's Baltic Sea coast, with Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
   airBaltic is already operating scheduled flights from Riga to Georgia's capital Tbilisi, opening the route with the first flight on May 3, 2006, with Boeing 737 aircraft.
