May 12, 2022 (newstodate): According to Swedish media, Aeroflot has surprisingly filed an application for restoring commercial flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo and Stockholm Arlanda in summer 2022.
   Due to the sanctions regime implemented on Russia, the application has been handled by the Swedish government, rather than by the Swedish Transport Agency.
   Not unexpectedly, the Swedish government has turned down the application, and the Swedish minister of Infrastructure has even aired his surprise over receiving the Russian application at all...
