Apr 27, 2022 (newstodate): Corendon Airlines is building up a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, opening up for new long-haul flights to leisure destinations beyond Europe.
In an interview with the German media aeroTELEGRAPH, Corendon's CEO Yildiray Karaer hints at seeing the carrier launching charter flights to Dubai and Cabo Verde from its core markets including Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Poland, Switzerland - and Denmark.
In Corendon's fleet today are 28 Boeing 737-800 and one 737 Max 8, but this summer will see the addition of another 10 aircraft, including another five Boeing 737 MAX 8; and 2023 will see the delivery of two more Boeing 737 Max 8 and three Max 9 aircraft.
Corendon Airlines made its debut in the Danish market on April 8, 2022, starting out with weekly direct flights from Antalya to Copenhagen, Billund and Aalborg, and, as of June 24, two flights to Copenhagen.
