Apr 01, 2022 (newstodate): The Turkish ground handling company Havas has inked a contract with Transavia at Latvia's Riga Airport.
With the first flight on March 31, 2022, Transavia, member of the Air France/KLM Group, has launched services on a new route connecting Riga Airport and Amsterdam with three weekly rotations, selecting Havas for ground handling operations.
This may provide at least some consolation for Havas Riga that suffered the loss in November 2021 of it longstanding customer, airBaltic, served at Riga Airport by North Hub Services, established in 2009 by Baltijas Aviacijas Sistemas, and later acquired on April 12, 2010, by Havas, taking over the handling contract with airBaltic.
