Apr 08, 2022 (newstodate): Month by month, Estonia's Tallinn Airport is seeing its cargo volumes growing.
In this year's Q1, the airport has been handling a total of 2,739 tones of cargo and mail, which is 25 percent up on last year.
However, the month-by-month growth rate is dampening somewhat, from 43.3 percent in February '22 to 15.2 percent in March '22.
With 55 percent, imports are dominating, while exports constituted the remaining 45 percent in Q1.
Tallinn Airport has been building up a position in the Asia/Europe/US e-freight business - which is now suffering during the current closure of airspace and general economic downturn.
