Apr 21, 2022 (newstodate): Aeroflot is considering buying eight Airbus A330-300 aircraft currently in the fleet on financial lease contracts.
   On April 8, 2022, EU published an updated version of the sanctions that have been imposed due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, now allowing lessors to provide aircraft for financial leasing in Russia if the deal was concluded before February 26, 2022.
   If confirmed by Aeroflot's Board, the carrier intends to pay out all remaining financial obligations to transfer the aircraft ordered before the deadline from the lessor to the carrier.
   In the fleets of Russian airlines are now over 1,300 aircraft, more than 500 of which are now claimed by European leasing companies.
