Apr 27, 2022 (newstodate): The new Norwegian LCC Flyr has taken delivery of its third Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, arriving at Oslo Airport on April 26, 2022.
In October 2021, Flyr entered an LoI with ALC, Air Lease Corporation, for six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, to be delivered directly from the Boeing factory to Flyr during the first half of 2022, with all aircraft delivered successively towards the summer.
The LoI also comprises an option for four more aircraft, with delivery in 2023.
In the fleet are now also six Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and plans are to expand the fleet to 12-18 aircraft by the end of this year.
On June 16, 2021, Flyr received its AOC by the Norwegian CAA, starting out with the lease of two ex-Pegasus Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the UK aircraft leasing company Pembroke.
