Apr 29, 2022 (newstodate): The new Norwegian long-haul carrier Norse Atlantic Airways has opened for bookings on its coming four North American routes from Oslo Airport.
It now emerges that Norse has changed its decision on airports serving two of these routes - to New York and Los Angeles, respectively.
In the earlier plans, the carrier would be operating its New York flights to New York Stewart International Airport, 60 miles north of Manhattan - and this has now been changed to New York JFK, instead.
Also, the airport to serve Los Angeles was earlier Ontario International Airport, in Southern California - and this has been changed to LAX.
Norse Atlantic Airways will launch flights from Oslo to New York from June 14, 2022, with two weekly rotations, going up to three from the second week.
Flights from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale will follow from June 18, with two weekly rotations: flights to Orlando will start from July 5, 2022, with three rotations - and finally flights to Los Angeles will follow from August 9, with three weekly rotations.
Now with six aircraft on the tarmac at Oslo Airport, Norse Atlantic Airways is building up a fleet of 15 Boeing 787 aircraft before its launch of services this summer.
