Apr 11, 2022 (newstodate): The Maersk Group is to establish a new cargo carrier, Maersk Air Cargo as one sign of intentions to move deeper into the airfreight value chain and secure supply chains for customers.
According to The Loadstar, the Maersk Group's ambitions may go even further as the Group is reportedly also in “active discussions” and participating in a ‘pre-bid’ to invest in a new airport with six runways, Noida International Airport, currently under construction at Jewar, near Delhi, and poised to become the country's largest international airport developed through a public-private partnership model, PPP.
In 2019, Flughafen Zürich AG, the Operator of Zurich Airport won the bid to Build and Operate the Airport for 40 years.
