Apr 25, 2022 (newstodate): Isavia is happy to see a positive return of airlines serving the country's Keflavik Airport.
Isavia now expects to see at least 24 airlines offering flights in summer 2022 between Iceland and Europe as well as the USA, compared to 22 in summer 2022.
Latest news is Easyjet that will launch flights between Keflavik and Milan from May 28, 2022, with up to three weekly rotations during the summer.
Due to the Covid-19, 2020 was a disastrous year in aviation for Iceland when only four carriers provided traffic at Keflavik Airport, compared to 28 airlines in 2019, 29 in 2018, and 26 in 2016.
10 years ago, in 2012, airline traffic at Keflavik Airport was still limited, with only 16 airlines calling.
