Apr 28, 2022 (newstodate): The out-sourcing cooperation, announced in January 2022, between Finnair's aircraft maintenance unit, Finnair Tekniikka, and DHL Supply Chain Finland has now taken effect.
   Finnair Tekniikka has thus transferred its warehouse services as well as 30 employees to DHL Supply Chain, now responsible for  handling, storage and packaging of spare parts and maintenance materials in Finnair's Technology warehousing services.   
   The agreement with DHL also includes the disposal of special waste from aircraft maintenance, and support services related to the service.
   In Finland, DHL Supply Chain employs about 400 in-house logistics professionals with logistics centers and service warehouses located in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Turku and Oulu.   
   In addition, the company provides in-house logistics services at its customers' production facilities in several locations, such as Vaasa and Helsinki.
