Mar 17, 2022 (newstodate): Norway's seafood exporters will have a seasonal gateway to the US market this summer.
   Starting from May 22, 2022, and till September 4, 2022, United Airlines be operating flights between Bergen and New York Newark Airport, offering three weekly rotations with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
   The route is clearly focusing on the tourist markets at both ends of the line - but exporters will surely exploit the opportunity to ship seafood directly out of Bergen Flesland Airport, as a complement to uplift from Oslo Airport.
   While the aircraft allocated to the Bergen-New York route  is not exactly a cargo work-horse, the freight capacity of a fully loaded Boeing 757-200 is still 5-7 tonnes.
