Mar 15, 2022 (newstodate): The Ukrainian LLC SkyUp Airline has made a unique and desperate effort to save its fleet from the turmoil caused by the Russian invasion.
-SkyUp Airlines appeals to the global aviation family to support us and Ukraine in this fight. In our fleet, we have 15 medium-haul Boeing-737 aircraft, the average age of which is 12 years. They are all ready to work and available for wet leasing.
-By using our aircraft, you will help us continue our operational activities during the war and pay taxes to the state treasury, save 1,300 employees, and support the affected Ukrainians as we will send every tenth dollar or euro to help the victims of the war, the airline writes.
Starting operations from May 2018, SkyUp is fully owned by Ukrainian capital, with 50 percent of the stake held by the owners of the country's leading tour operator JoinUp, Tatiana and Yuri Alba.
In the fleet are now two Boeing 737-700, four Boeing 737-900ER, and nine Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with orders placed for five Boeing 737 MAX and one more Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
