Mar 14, 2022 (newstodate): Defying the depressing flow of bad news, Ryanair has announced the opening of two new routes in Lithuania from summer 2022.
Starting from May 2022, the carrier will launch flights from Kaunas Airport to Warsaw, and from Vilnius Airport to Gdansk.
With these two new routes, Ryanair will be increasing to a total of 49 routes from the three airports Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga in summer 2022.
Ryanair performed its first flight in Lithuania at Kaunas Airport on September 22, 2005, making Kaunas Airport its 40th base from May 2, 2010.
Ryanair next launched services at Vilnius Airport from May 2011, adding operations at Palanga Airport from March 2016.
