   -We will be the first airline to return to flying to Ukraine when it is safe to do so and approved by EASA, Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary said at a press conference in London on March 2, 2022.
   Ryanair will even open up for carrying belly cargo in and out of Ukraine, as the LCC's first-ever cargo venture.
   Prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ryanair was the second-largest airline in the Ukrainian market with a market share of 12.3 percent in February 2022; Wizz Air was ranked fourth with 9.6 percent.
   After more than 10 years of analysis and several rounds of aborted negotiations, Ryanair entered the Ukrainian market with the first flights in 2018, while Wizz Air was the country's first low-cost carrier with the launch of services already on July 18, 2008.
