Mar 28, 2022 (newstodate): Pobeda, Russia's only operative low-cost carrier and member of the Aeroflot Group, is feeling the impact of western sanctions on Russia.
Pobeda that received its AOC on November 11, 2014, and performed its maiden flight on December 1, 2014, early decided to operate an all-Boeing aircraft fleet offering a better performance than Russia's Superjet 100 aircraft.
In the fleet are today 43 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, but a decision has been made to keep only 25 aircraft flying while grounding the remaining fleet that can serve as a potential spare parts pool if ways are not found to import US-made spares and components during the sanctions regime.
