Mar 24, 2022 (newstodate): Distortion of the seafood air logistics caused by the Russian war on Ukraine, the closure of airspace, and Covid-19 in China makes a deep mark on Norway's exports.
In week 11, 2022, ending on March 20, exports to China were down by 49 percent, y-o-y, to 378 tonnes, and volumes to Hong Kong dropped 29 percent to 183 tonnes.
Volumes to South Korea were also down 30 percent to 413 tonnes, while Taiwan imported only 239 tonnes, down 34 percent compared to last year.
Compared to the preceding week, volumes to China were also down 33 percent; volumes to Hong Kong were actually slightly up by 7.3 percent, while volumes to South Korea dropped 26 percent, week-on-week.
Volumes to Taiwan also dropped 30.5 percent, w-o-w.
