Mar 21, 2022 (newstodate): Lithuania's Siauliai Airport has offered free aircraft storage of aircraft from Ukraine International Airlines after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
   Flying in from Poland, the first Boeing 737-900 aircraft has thus been received, benefiting from exemption of parking fees by Siauliai Airport.
   Accommodation of the crew is granted by the MRO provider Magnetic MRO that has also pledged to provide maintenance and inspection of the stored aircraft for as long as it takes.
   -We knew that it would be difficult for the country's civil aviation, so we are happy to contribute at least a little to its preservation and provide the necessary assistance, says Aurelia Kuezada, Siauliai Airport Director.
