Mar 08, 2022 (newstodate): Finnair is to revive services on the routes from Helsinki to Shanghai and Seoul.
   Starting from March 10, 2022, Finnair will provide one weekly rotation between Helsinki and Shanghai, and from March 12, the route to Seoul will reopen with three weekly rotations.
   The closure of Russian and Ukrainian as well as airspace over other ME conflict areas however forces Finnair to fly alternate routes south or north of Russia, translating into longer flying hours and thus also less optimal use of aircraft that otherwise manage to perform a full rotation within 24 hours.
   The reopening of the two routes are made possible not least by high airfreight rates supporting the revenues from passenger transportation.
