Mar 24, 2022 (newstodate): The Turkish charter carrier Corendon Airlines has 15 Boeing 737 aircraft in its fleet - but is adding more capacity through wet-lease contracts in summer 2022.
First, the Lithuanian charter/ACMI carrier GetJEt Airlines announced a seven-months contract with Corendon Airlines comprising two Airbus A320 aircraft to be based at Antalya for flights to Turkish leisure destinations including Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum, Dalaman and Alanya from European destinations during the period starting from April 2022.
Now, the carrier has inked a similar seven-months wet-lease contract with the Danish carrier DAT starting from April 1 till October 31.
Under the contract, DAT will allocate two Airbus A320 aircraft and one Airbus A321 to initially start operations at Antalya for Corendon Airlines.
From June 24, 2022, the two A320 will shift base to operate flights instead from Copenhagen Airport, while one A321 will move to Billund Airport to be operating Corendon Airlines and Corendon Airlines Europe flights to European leisure destinations.
