Mar 25, 2022 (newstodate): The state-owned Antonov enterprise has plans - or rather hopes - for a future restoration of the AN-225 Mriya freighter, the world's only mega-freighter.
   The aircraft was badly damaged at Gostomel Airport in the early days of the Russian invasion.
   Antonov has all necessary design and scientific and technical documentation for the restoration of Mriya, but would be unable to raise enough capital itself. The company has therefore aired the idea of crowdfunding to support the project.
   A future restoration of the damaged aircraft might be helped by the structures, parts and components of a second AN-225 airframe that was never completed but remains with Antonov.
