Mar 09, 2022 (newstodate): In 2021, Air Greenland saw volumes of passengers on its Transatlantic flights to Denmark increasing by 27 percent, y-o-y.
   A total of 39,293 passengers thus boarded Air Greenland's Airbus A330-200 aircraft at Kangerlussuaq for the flight to Copenhagen.
   In 2020, the number of passengers was however only 30,785 due to the lockdowns and restrictions caused by the Covid-19.
   While the volume of passengers on the Transatlantic flights was thus recuperating in 2021, it still has a long way to go to reach to pre-Covid levels; in 2019 the volumes of Transatlantic passengers out of Greenland reached 86,989 - almost twice the volume in 2021.
