Mar 31, 2022 (newstodate): Korean Air has developed a strong appetite for summer flights to Croatia - with 2022 as no exception.
After a period of suspension due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Korean Air is returning its summer services between Seoul and Zagreb with three weekly rotations during the period July 2-October 29, 2022, operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Korean Air paid its first-ever visit to Croatia in September 2010, operating two chartered Boeing 777 flights from Seoul to Zagreb Airport on September 18 and 25, respectively, carrying Korean and other Asian tourists on their first visit to the country.
Korean Air next introduced summer flights to Croatia in 2014, and according to the air services agreement signed in 2015 between Croatia and South Korea, Korean Air would be allowed to operate up to seven weekly rotations between the two countries.
Replacing the seasonal summer flights, Korean Air introduced year-round services on the route from September 2018, but the flights were again downgraded to summer-only flights from 2019 - and these flights were then suspended as the Coronavirus hit the markets.
