Feb 14, 2022 (newstodate): In 2022, Lithuania may see the opening of flights from Tajikistan.
   Reported by local media, the head of Tajikistan's  Civil Aviation Agency, Ikrom Subkhonzoda, says that documents regulating air communication between Tajikistan and Lithuania, which will be opened in 2022, are under preparation.
   If plans are carried through, the privately-owned Tajik carrier Somon Air will launch flights with Boeing 737-800 aircraft between Dushanbe and Vilnius as the airline's second route into Western Europe.
    The carrier, based at Dushanbe, performed its first commercial flight on February 5, 2008, opening up with services to Moscow and later, on July 29, 2009, adding services to Frankfurt, Germany, as its first route into Europe
