Feb 08, 2022 (newstodate): The sustained high demand for air cargo capacity reflects strongly on Finnair's cargo statistics for January 2022.
   A total of 12,551 tonnes of cargo was carried on scheduled services and all-cargo flights - an increase by 139.4 percent, y-o-y.
   9.225 tonnes were carried on Finnair's passenger flights, and another 3,326 tonnes were loaded on all-cargo flights, up 284.1 and 17.1 percent y-o-y, respectively.
   The bulk of the cargo was generated on the Asian lanes, totaling 5,536 tonnes, up 158.9 percent, while loads on the North American lanes were 2,231 tonnes.
   Exceptionally strong demand for cargo capacity continued in January, but decreased, however, by 11.9 percent month-on-month as the seasonality applies to demand for cargo as well.
