Feb 04, 2022 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport can add Transavia's logo on its monitors from March 31, 2022.
The carrier, member of the Air France/KLM Group, has announced the opening of flights on a new route connecting Riga Airport and Amsterdam with three weekly rotations, in close competition to airBaltic that is offering 14 weekly rotations already.
Transavia was actually already planning for an entry into Riga from March 29, 2020, with two weekly rotations with Boeing 737NG aircraft on the route between Paris Orly Airport and Riga Airport - but this was stalled due to Covid-19.
Transavia's website, however, still flags the Paris-Riga route while no flights are currently open for bookings.
