Feb 24, 2022 (newstodate): The new Icelandic carrier Play Airlines has announced the opening of a new route from Iceland to Orlando, in Florida.
The new route will operate seasonally during the winter schedule starting from the end of September '22 through April 2023 with three weekly rotations.
This brings Play's US route network to four destinations from Keflavik Airport to Boston Logan International Airport from May 11, 2022, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, starting from April 20, 2022, and New York Stewart Airport from June 9, 2022 - and now also Orlando.
In contrast to the three first routes that are served on a near-daily basis, the new route to Orlando, being the airline's so far longest flight at 5,671 km, will require a night stop.
